If you haven’t yet discovered ThredUp, now is the perfect time. ThredUp is, in a nutshell, an online consignment store. Specializing in kids clothes, ThredUp recently branched out and added a women’s boutique too.
Inviting moms all over the country to “Clean Out & Cash In,” ThredUp accepts gently used and new kids clothing items sizes 12 months and up. All mom has to do is request a free bag, fill the bag up with clothes and mail in back. Once ThredUp receives the bag, every item is carefully reviewed. Items that meet their high standards are purchased from mom, and the other items are donated. As soon as mom is paid, the clothing is available for sale, and there are new clothes added to the site every day.
Right now, ThredUp is having its first Semi-Annual Sale offering even lower prices – up to 40% off its normal prices, which is up to 90% off retail! And when you are refered by a friend (like me), you can get $10 credit to spend. The $10 credit doesn’t cover shipping, which starts at $2.99 for the first item and $.99 each additional item (free shipping with purchases over $50).
ThredUp is VERY meticulous about the clothing accepted. I have made three separate purchases from ThredUp and been very happy with each. In fact, with one order there was a small spot on the bottom hem of a dress. It was caught before it was shipped, so the cost of the dress was refund to my credit card and they still sent me the dress! So I got a free dress with a tiny flaw!
This was my most recent purchase – look that Minnie Mouse outfit still has Disney Store tags and the others are like brand new!
At ThredUp you will find name brands like Gymboree, Children’s Place, Hanna Anderson, Carters and so many more.
So what are you waiting for? Sign up for a ThredUp account here to get your free $10 credit, then go shopping at the Semi-Annual sale and see what kind of treasures you can find! (Don’t forget to look at the new items too.)
Bonus – when you order from ThredUp, you will be sent a clean out bag. So start cleaning out those closets!
