Celebrate National Boys & Girls Club Week By Taking A Tour

It’s National Boys & Girls Club Week! To celebrate 4,000 clubs serving millions of kids across the nation and on military installations overseas by offering a place for them to grow and have a great future, BGCA is inviting everyone to “Open the door. Take the tour.”

National Boys & Girls Club Week Open The Door

Whenever I have the chance to share something that is good for the community through my blog, I jump at the chance. So when I was asked to share information about National Boys & Girls Club Week, I was thrilled to do so. I hope this information helps you learn more about this great organization and all of the good it does for kids nationwide.

The “Open the door. Take the tour.” campaign, aimed at encouraging local communities to learn more and get involved in BGCA, offers guests an inside look at what goes on inside a BGCA club. Throughout the week, daily activities have been planned for members, parents and the entire community to enjoy. If you have ever wondered about BGCA, this is the week to learn more.

For those who can’t make it to a local club, you can take a virtual tour. Plus after the virtual tour, you will have a chance to enter to win a $500 gift card to Lowe’s or JCPenny plus the club of your choice will win a $1,000 gift card. I just finished taking the virtual tour myself, and I want to go play at a BGCA club. It looks like fun.

BGCA Clubs provide caring guidance and fun, engaging programs that help kids: do well in school, give back to their communities and choose healthy lifestyles. Here are a few more facts about BGCA:

  • BGCA serves nearly 4 million kids annually
  • 67% of club members come from minority families
  • 51% of club alumni say they achieved a higher level of education than they thought possible because of the club

Learn more about BGCA this week by stopping by a local club and taking a tour or check out the virtual tour. Great futures start at Boys & Girls Clubs.

I wrote this review while participating in a campaign for Mom Central Consulting on behalf of the Boys & Girls Clubs of America. I received a promotional item to thank me for taking the time to participate.

We know how terrifice BGCA is. Our son was a Youth of the Year of Clairemont Mesa San Diego club in 2007. If we won, we would definitely want the club to receive the $1000.
