Dr. Scholl’s Shoes: Comfort & Style

I didn’t know Dr. Scholl’s made shoes, but I  have to admit that when I learned that they did I immediately pictured something very orthotic looking that my grandma would wear. I may not be the most fashion-forward mom on the block, but I have a bit more style than that. Luckily I was curious, so I checked out the online catalog. Hello, Dr. Scholl’s not only makes shoes, it makes cute shoes!

Ok, we aren’t talking sexy stilettos here, but everyday driving carpool, running to the grocery store and hitting the playground – these shoes got style! I have long had foot issues, from feet so flat I make a full footprint in the sand (no kidding) to a bunion so bad that it require surgery in 2007, I have feet issues. So once I learned there were cute options, I was all about trying some Dr. Scholl’s Shoes. The big decision, which pair to choose?! I debated the Jamie

The Jennie

The Joliet

And finally, I decided on the Fielding(in Charcoal)

Actually, there were a lot more choices than that, those were just my favorites. I was truly surprised how many cute options there were. Since I practically live in ballet flats in the fall and winter, that’s the way I went. But I have to be honest  I may still pick up a pair of the Jennie or Jamies for myself too.

What I like most about the Fieldings (besides the cuteness) is that they are padded with rubber soles. How many flats do you own that feel like you are walking barefoot because they are just a thin, hard sole? These are different, these are cushiony with a low arch support even. They are made by Dr. Scholls, what do you expect?

The shoes I considered were in the $60-$65 range, not discount shoes but very reasonable for high-quality, well-made shoes (which these definitely are). Still need another reason to try these cute and practical shoes? Dr. Scholl’s Shoes are available on Amazon, which means they ship free, then you can try them on at home and return them for free if they don’t work for you. (Because let’s face it, a gal’s gotta try on shoes to be sure they are going to work.)

  1. I love the Dr. Scholl’s Women’s Palma Ballet Flat. I feel that they can be worn with a causal outfit like jeans but could be dressed up with a cute dressy dress 🙂

  3. The Joliet in Bronze maybe…There are a few I like. Might have to just go ahead and get a pair. With my new foot problems and my already present back problems I need some support. Thanks for the heads up

  5. The Dr has some cool designs. I am really suprised. I thought that they might look like something designed in the late 1950’s. That company is stepping up their game.
