I Am Going To The Premiere Of Disneynature’s Chimpanzee!

I am thrilled to announce that I have been invited to attend the red-carpet premiere of Disneynature’s new film Chimpanzee. Squeee! I am fortunate to be one of a group of 20 bloggers selected to attend this Disney-filled premiere weekend, and I cannot wait!

Chimpanzee is Disneynature’s fourth documentary film opening in theaters April 20, 2012. Like its predecessors Chimpanzee will celebrate Earth Day by contributing a portion of opening week’s proceeds to support the chimps. The Jane Goodall Institute for the Disneynature Tchimpounga Nature Reserve Project will receive $.20 from each ticket from April 20-April 26, 2012 with a minimum of $100,000 pledged to the program. (Now that’s incentive to see the film during opening week!)

Disneynature's Chimpanzee

In addition to being among the first to see the new film (and walk the red carpet), we will get a chance to meet the famed Jane Goodall. Frankly, I am more excited to meet with her than walk the red carpet. Perhaps that’s because I am totally spoiled and already walked the red carpet for The Lion King last summer, but I am really excited to meet Goodall.

Have you seen the preview yet? The baby chimp is so adorable, I want to bring him home.

I won’t have to travel far for this opportunity as the premiere event will take place here in Florida. Yipie! We’ll be living it up in Kissimmee, FL, hosted by Global Resort Homes. I already know our accommodations are going to be sweet having stayed with Global previously when I attended Brandication in 2010.

Of course, you can’t bring a group of bloggers to Florida without taking them to Disney, so I will get to show off my Disney smarts and act as tour guide. I hope there’s a newbie in the group – I love going with first timers. For even more nature fun, we will be the guests of the Kissimmee Convention & Visitors Bureau taking in a little nature – Florida style. (I have my theories about what we will be doing… we shall see.)

Stay tuned for more about my adventure, and wish me luck as I leave baby girl for the first time!

Disclosure – I have been invited to attend this one-in-a-lifetime media event as a guest, however, all thoughts and opinions are my own.
