The Disney Store at the Florida Mall has received a makeover, and the Grand Opening of the fancy new store will be August 24, 2011 at 10 am. In addition to being among the first to check out all of the cool new features, the first 250 guests in the store will receive a free pair of Mickey Mouse ears to celebrate.
The new Disney stores have been cropping up all over the country, and I have eagerly awaited its arrival in Orlando (too bad it is the other side of town from me!). The new store will feature a Disney Princess Castle with Magic Mirror, Translucent Magical Trees, Disney●Pixar CARS-branded Ridemakerz custom toy car building experience and the Disney Store Theatre, featuring the latest in Disney entertainment. Plus, unique to the Florida location, a unique skyline bordering the store, which features a number of iconic Disney moments and Orlando landmarks. Some featured landmarks include the Walt Disney World Resort, Lake Eola Park in downtown Orlando and nods to the Florida landscape, including the Everglades.
With each new store opening in the United States and Canada in 2011, Disney Store will donate 10 percent of the first day’s sales to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
