A child of the ’80s, I grew up on Dr Seuss and couldn’t wait to read his stories to my daughter. So I was thrilled to learn a new series was being created around the classic “The Cat in the Hat.”

Well, the first DVD was a huge hit in our house so when the chance came to get the second one, I didn’t hesitate. It is a fantastic series on PBS Kids that takes the classic characters on all new and wonderful adventures.

The Cat in the Hat Knows a Lot About That – Tales About Tales is just as big of a hit with my daughter as the last.

If you couldn’t tell from the title, on this DVD the Cat and his pals Sally and Nick learn all about animals with tails and how each uses it’s tail. My daughter loves to learn about the animals and I am amazed at what she truly learns from this series. (She still loves to tell us about all of the nocturnal animals she learned about in Wings and Things, and she is 3!)

  21. It was Cat in the Hat. Our 3 year old had it memorized from our reading it. Old Hat New Hat….. She is now 42.

  40. Oh the Wonderful Things Mr. Brown Can Do! I have read it to my daughters so many times, we all know it by heart! Including my two-year-old! 🙂
