If you saw my big announcement a few weeks ago, then you already know that my spring announcement is baby #2. Unfortunately, the news came with LOTS of sick. Man, it has been tough. (Moms, I know you sympathize.) So for the first trimester, my big announcement, hasn’t been much of a celebration… Heading into my second trimester, I am happy to say that some of my energy has returned, but not all of it and the throwing up hasn’t ceased. (Seriously, how is this baby supposed to grow if I can’t get any food into me?!?!) Hopefully, as this trimester progresses I will find that big boost of energy I so desperately crave.
In the mean time, since celebrating the baby has been a little tough so far, I want to celebrate what has gotten me this far in my pregnancy — my husband and daughter. My husband has taken over all wifely duties to make sure this house is kept in some kind of order and there is something for my daughter to eat. (Seriously, left up to me, she would starve — I can’t set foot in a grocery store!) God bless him, he has taken over Dad and Mom roles — no wonder she asks for him all day long.
And my daughter, what a trooper. How many three year olds do you know that will sit and watch TV while Mom naps next to them without causing trouble? It’s a handful having to care for her when all I want to do is curl up in a ball and sleep until October, and some days it has been too much. But for the most part she deserves celebration for her patience and love.
Of course, as this belly continues to expand and I count down to the day when I can find out the gender, there will be many more days of baby celebration to come. (I can’t wait to feel the baby move!) And I know the day I find out the gender, I will begin in full force planning the nursery and the all-important baby announcements. Since I use Shutterfly for all of my photo projects, you can bet my birth announcements will come from there. And hopefully before baby #2 arrives I can finally finish the 6th installment of K’s baby book — yes, really it will take 6 nearly 100 page 12×12 Shutterfly photo books to complete K’s first year baby book 🙂
This is similar to what I did for K with the toes and fingers. Very sweet.
I LOVE this one with the D is for Dylan. Room for multiple pictures, and super cute baby font with a monogram.
I LOVE the idea of including K in the picture with her new baby – I think this will be a must for me.
Oh, there are so many choices!
Here’s hoping baby #2 starts to be nicer to mom and my energy returns! In the mean time, here’s a giveaway from my fav photo company.

Thanks for a great blog and for offering the chance to win a Shutterfly album! I would use it to make another baby book about my 14-month old son. I am constantly making them for my husband and I and each of our families as gifts. We all can’t get enough of looking at our first born (their first grandchild)! The pics I took with my son in a bed of daffodils last Sunday on Easter would make a perfect Mother’s day gift for the grandma!
Our daughters 2nd birthday is coming up.
I would use pictures of my two daughters in the photo book through the years to cherish how great is to have children
