Veggie Tales Twas The Night Before Easter ~ Giveaway

If you are like me, your mind is on filling those Easter baskets with something besides JUST jelly beans and chocolate bunnies. (Of course, the candy has it’s place, but something that won’t rot their teeth is nice too!) Veggie Tales newest DVD, “Twas the Night Before Easter,” is a great Easter basket addition. It’s a cute movie the whole family can watch together before bed on Easter, isn’t that a nice addition to the Easter basket?

Here’s the movie trailer:

httpvh://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L_EbQLOhDRQ

It’s Easter time in Crisper County and cable news reporter Marlee Meade is hunting for a way to help others. She cooks up a plan to save the old theater with a cast of costume-clad townies, massive props and a 20-foot robot rabbit to perform “Up With Bunnies.” Now there’s only one thing missing – the star of the show! When word spreads that singing sensation Cassie Cassava (Melinda Doolittle) is arriving to perform in her hometown church’s Easter service, Marlee schemes to steal the starlet for her own pageant! But when things go haywire, will it be curtains for Marlee’s dreams – or will she discover the true meaning of Easter and what helping others is really all about?

The Easter-themed DVD has some cute pop-culture references to American Idol that made me chuckle. And like all of the Veggie Tales we own, my daughter loves it.

easter tradition: there are years where we do the typical family dinner.. but we have often met with our friends to take the kids to a museum or a fun activity instead of going the traditional route. Places aren’t too crowded and we all have fun w/o having to get all dressed up

Hi- we have lots of traditions….but, a favorite it’s making “nonna” cookies…Italian anise cookies that I use to make with my grandmother (complete with egg in middle)….now, my daughter gets them from my mom (my mom lives far, so she mails them without the egg). This year, we’ll all be together for my grandmother’s 90th birthday…so, I am excited to connect the tradition!

We always have a Easter egg hunt after we eat. Kids and adults. Two different people every year hide the eggs and everyone else hunts them. The adults are definetly the more competitive ones:)
