Once upon a time, before kids, my husband and I both worked full-time jobs out of the house. Back then we ran the dishwasher (usually only 1/2 full) about once a week. (My husband once bought the dishwasher soap, that I hated, BOGO from Costco and it lasted about 3 years!)
Now, we run the dishwasher (completely full) about every other day! Seriously, I could almost run the thing every day. I feel like we are always emptying the stupid thing. We have this routine of drying the sippy cups and other plastic things that retain water even through the drying cycle on the counter, by the time I get around to putting those away it is almost time to run it again!
Does anyone else feel like this? How often do you run your dishwasher?
Ha! It seems more people we add, the more we run it! Usually once a day, after dinner. I have been trying hard not to use paper products lately….and I don’t really wash dishes at all. We just rinse and stick them in the DW as we go all day, and then run it and empty it before bed!
I was just thinking about this the other day!! I run mine every other day, but really need to run it more. I was thinking about the people I know with four and five kids one day as I was starting the dishwasher AGAIN and wondering if they have to run it multiple times a day – and if they do, is it even worth it being that I truly hate unloading the dishwasher!!
