Coupons.com Helps With Summer Fun

Posted by 11 July, 2011 (1) Comment

Since I nearly always shop with coupons, I am fully aware of the dent a good sale combined with a coupon can do for your bottom line. In addition to coupons in the newspaper, I love to stock up on coupons from Coupons.com. From food, toiletry and household items to toys, DVDs and magazines Coupons.com offers a variety of coupons.

To show the power of coupons this summer, Coupons.com sent me a summer care package filled with items purchased at a local drug store combining a few sales with coupons printed from Coupons.com. Purchased at full price, the items in my care package would cost $88.25. But using coupons from Coupons.com all of the items were purchased together in one shopping trip for $51.91 — that’s a $36.34 savings in one trip! One basket of summer essentials purchased for 41% off retail price.

Now, I know avid couponers could bring this price down even further with multiple trips to take advantage of various sales… But for the average mom on the go who wants to buy everything in one trip — that’s some serious savings.

One thing to note about Coupons.com is that the coupons available reset on the first of every month (sometimes new coupons are added throughout the month too, but the reset is on the first). Since there is often a limit on the number of prints for certain high-dollar coupons, I recommend checking out Coupons.com at the beginning of the month and printing any coupons you plan to use then. That way you have them.

A sampling of the hot coupons on Coupons.com right now include:

My Coupons.com summer care package included; OFF bug spray, Coppertone sunscreen, Pampers wipes, Miracle Bubbles, Antibiotic Ointment, Tums, Bandages, a Deck of Cards, two packs of tissues, Bayer, Sunglasses, a Water Bottle, Stride gum and Haribo gummy bears. All things to help stock up for summer.

FYI – since I already had a number of these items in my well-stocked closet (many due to coupons), the majority of the items provided to me will be donated to a local charity.

Disclosure – I was provided this summer essentials care package by Coupons.com to facilitate this post.
