Sometimes all it takes is changing up a familiar routine to make a day extra special. Think about how much fun it is to have dessert before dinner. That was the idea behind this fun afternoon. Instead of lunch by the pool (sitting at the table), we had lunch IN the pool.

Have A Picnic In The Pool
“Wait, we get to eat in the pool?!?!” my kids were shocked and thrilled.
And that’s just what we did. I used unbreakable melamine plates and plastic cups, told the kids to hop in the pool and served them lunch in the pool. Of course, there were a couple of ground rules – no splashing food (eww) and no taking the plates with you while you swim, but other than that it was a mixed-up lunch with lots of giggles.

Some preferred the bolder flavor of the Farmstand Ranch while others preferred the mild cheesy flavor of the Parmesan Garlic, but everyone agreed they were both yummy.
The Kettle Brand® chips paired perfectly with our pool lunch turkey cheese rolls (no bread to get soggy from wet fingers) and carrot sticks. Sure, a few chips were lost to the pool. But for the most part, one-bite chips stayed crisp for a yummy snack.
Once everyone was finally finished snacking on the yummy chips, we continued the fun with popsicles in the pool. Nothing says summer like popsicles in the pool.
