Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon H2O Glow Nights

Partysaurus Rex and the Toy Story gang are making a splash this summer at Typhoon Lagoon during H2O Glow Nights. It’s a giant nighttime pool party at Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon, and you are invited to join in the fun during this special event. My family was invited by Disney to attend opening night, and it was a splash!

If you are planning a trip to Disney World this summer to experience Toy Story Land, Typhoon Lagoon’s H2O Glow Nights is the icing on the cake. It’s a great way to keep the Toy Story fun going and cool off after a long, hot day at the parks. It’s also a fun new way to experience the water park.

This was my family’s first visit to a water park, and it was the perfect introduction to the fun. We got our grove on with the DJ, tubed down giant water slides, hopped over waves in the wave pool, waded through kiddie pools and even got photos with the Woody and Jessie. (We missed Buzz and Zurg, but we saw them from a far.) All of this fun while cooling off on a hot summer night.

(So many more interesting things for the baby to look at than the camera. HA!)

Now that we have been to Typhoon Lagoon as a family, I can’t believe we waited so long to go. Our oldest tends to be very timid when it comes to rides and slides, so getting her on her first slide was a challenge. But at the bottom she was all smiles and ready to tackle the rest of the raft slides.

The first slide we rode as a family was Miss Adventures Falls, and it was the perfect first slide for all. I highly recommend it for the whole family — yep, even our toddler went. (It wasn’t her favorite, she preferred Ketchakiddee Creek, the kiddie area, but the big girls went over and over.)

Of course, everyone’s favorite was drifting around Castaway Creek. The lazy river was filled with pool floats, we even saw some with glowing lights inside.

Having been to plenty of water parks myself, there is just something extra cool about visiting a water park at night, and H2O Glow Nights is your chance to experience the park in a whole different light. (Pun intended.)

In addition to the party on the main stage, guests can find special food offerings – including glowing drinks.

Another bonus for H2O Glow Nights is that it isn’t nearly as crowded as a typical summer afternoon. So while the hours for the party are limited, there were only a handful of people in line so we didn’t have to wait long (and sometimes not at all) for the fun. We moved quickly from slide to slide, often enjoying the ride multiple times before moving on to the next slide. A huge perk for families, like mine, who don’t enjoy waiting in line.

Hi Yelkis – For the H2O Glow Nights, the event ticket is the park ticket. It only gets you in during the party 7-11 pm, but that’s all you need.
