Soothe Itchy Eczema Skin With Eucerin Eczema Relief

Life with eczema is a constant series of itchy, scaly, red patches. It’s miserable. But what’s more miserable than my skin itching, is watching my daughters scratch at their eczema patches. I know firsthand what it is like to itch all of the time, so it breaks my heart to know they are dealing with the same thing. To help my family battle against eczema, we recently received the Eucerin Eczema Relief line of products for review.

Eucerin Eczema Relief Flare-Up Treatment
Although eczema is more complicated than just dry skin, keeping skin well moisturized helps relieve symptoms and heal the skin. The tough thing is that many moisturizers and lotions can sting when applied to active eczema patches. When seeking relief for myself and my daughters, it is important that products don’t sting or further irritate the already inflamed skin. The last thing I want to do is apply something I tell them will help only to have it burn.

I also try to avoid steroidal creams whenever possible. Although sometimes it is the only way to heal extremely inflamed skin, my goal is to keep skin from getting to that point. Using Eucerin Eczema Relief helps keep the skin protected without steroids.

Eucerin Eczema Relief

I am pleased to report that Eucerin Eczema Relief doesn’t sting — even the most inflamed patches. The cremes are thick and comforting, but not sticky. They are also fragrance- and dye-free, which is important since fragrances and dyes are often a source of irritation for my skin.

Although winter skin doesn’t cause eczema, it certainly adds to the problem making already itchy skin drier and active patches of eczema worse. To help keep away the itchy patches it is especially important to keep the skin moisturized and avoid known triggers (when possible) in dry winter months.

There are four products in the Eucerin Eczema Relief line:

  • Eucerin Eczema Relief Body Creme
  • Eucerin Eczema Relief Flare-Up Treatment Creme
  • Eucerin Baby Eczema Body Creme
  • Eucerin Baby Eczema Relief Flare-Up Treatment Creme

The Eucerin Eczema Relief line uses colloidal oatmeal to soothe itchy skin. The body creme is great for everyday use and the flare-up treatment includes a cooling agent to provide an instant cooling effect.

For the most effective relief Eucerin Eczema Relief products should be applied directly after showering or bathing to help lock in moisture. It is also important to stay well hydrated.

Spend less time itching and more time enjoying the holidays. Try the Eucerin Eczema Relief line for yourself and your kids and spend less time scratching.
