D23 Expo Here I Come!

Next week I will attend the biggest Disney convention on the planet — the D23 Expo and I am giddy with excitement. All of the magic of Disney entertainment under one roof – Disney, Marvel, Star Wars – HELLO! It is going to be Disney overload, and I am going to be in the middle of it all. Awesome. 

I have been invited to attend the D23 Expo August 14-16 as a guest of Disney, and I plan to soak up everything I can. First came the invitation to attend (YES!), then came the invitation to feel free to dress up in costume to attend. What? I get to be immersed in all things Disney with an open invitation to dress in character. Double awesome. The only question became, “What to wear?”

D23 Expo

The D23 Expo is a bi-annual event created for the uber Disney fan. With three full days of “inside-the-magic” experiences not found anywhere else, including exclusive sneak peeks at upcoming films from The Walt Disney Studios, dazzling celebrity appearances, unforgettable presentations given by Disney luminaries, a look at what’s coming from Disney Parks and Resorts and Walt Disney Imagineering, the Disney Legends ceremony, and the Treasures of the Walt Disney Archives exhibition, which spotlights crown jewels from Disney’s timeless legacy.

Disneyland Diamond Celebration

After everything was arranged to go I received another surprise. Not just D23, but while in California I also get to go to Disneyland again! Having wanted to go to Disneyland my entire life, it is a dream come true to be going back for my third time in three years this time to celebrate the park’s 60th anniversary. More Disneyland pictures to come.

I get to see this castle again!!! 

So, what am I going to wear?

After a lot of debate and a lot of shopping, I settled on Classic, Marvel and a Princess. I won’t be doing full costume, more Disney Bounding, but it is going to be great. Here is a hint.

Oh, and everyone wish me good travels. I am taking the red-eye home Sunday in order to try to catch my girl before the bus for the first day of school Monday morning. It is a BIG deal for me to not to miss this, so I need all of the extra luck I can get.
