People come from all over to vacation in Orlando, but those of us who live here are often too busy to enjoy the sights. My family, however, is determined to enjoy everything our town has to offer. So a couple of times a year we plan a staycation to enjoy some of the awesome things Orlando has to offer. For the second year we staycationed at the Hilton Bonnet Creek Resort. We had so much fun, I want to go back – now.

5 Reasons To Stay At Bonnet Creek
The pool, the lazy river, the water slide!
Oh my gosh, the Bonnet Creek pool area is ah-mazing! It is HUGE and has every water feature you could ask for. It’s hard to say which part of the pool area is the best. I am partial to the lazy river, but zero-entry pool is so much fun for kids. And the water slide was a huge hit!
It could be argued that there is no other reason needed than the water amenities at Bonnet Creek because they are truly that much fun. And you never have to leave, with a poolside restaurant you can literally spend the entire day at the pool enjoying it all.
Pool tip – Bring your own tubes/floats to enjoy the lazy river. But if you don’t have your own, they are available for sale starting at $7 for a basic tube.

As if the pool itself wasn’t fun enough, Bonnet Creek turns up the fun with SummerBlast. The annual summer event is filled with summer pool activities for the whole family including:
- The mermaid academy
- Dive-in movies
- Pool parties
- Kids crafts and activities
- Ducktona 500 rubber duck race
- And more…

All of this fun comes with sticker shock, but not the bad kind – room rates start at just $119 per night! Yes, all of this fun for $119. I dare you to find this much fun for this price anywhere else on Disney property. Affordable rooms make Bonnet Creek a top staycation choice for summer fun.

Planning a Disney weekend? Book a room at Bonnet Creek to make the most of the parks. Stay late and enjoy a cooler Disney at night, then enjoy a short (free) shuttle back to the hotel. Sleep in and spend the next day at the pool. Sounds like the perfect staycation to me — oh wait, it was!
Bonus, if you make it back to the hotel before the fireworks you can watch the fireworks from your room.

There are more than a dozen dining options for guests at Bonnet Creek, but the best savings tip for families is at Harvest Bistro. At Bonnet Creek’s Harvest Bistro kids 12 and under eat free for breakfast and dinner with a paying adult.
