Every family has certain meals that the whole family loves. Meals that kids devour without hesitation. Comfort foods that everyone loves and pretty much guarantee a happy mealtime for the family. Serving these foods not only puts good food in their bellies, but it lays the foundation for foods that will always remind them of home.
This post brought to you by Marie Callender’s. All opinions are 100% mine.
One of my family’s comfort foods is lasagna, and thanks to Marie Callender’s not only is dinner delicious but clean up is easy too.
I love serving lasagna because it is easy from baking to getting the kids to eat to clean up. Plus, it’s yummy!
Marie Callender’s Comforts From Home Project
While Marie Callender’s comforts families like mine with foods that make everyone happy, it is also comforting our troops far from home. Through Comforts From Home, Marie Callender’s is working with USO2GO, a USO program that brings electronics, sports gear, books, games and more to troops stationed in remote locations. These items help troops recharge and relax when they are far from home.
With family members past and present who have served in the military, I like knowing that organizations like USO2GO shares little comforts of home with our troops. And I am happy to learn about how Marie Callender’s is helping to make that happen.
Enjoying your favorite Marie Callender’s meals or desserts is an easy way to support our troops because for each specially-marked packages of Marie Callender’s meals or desserts, Marie Callender’s will make a donation to the USO2GO.
For every entry by 1/31/2015 of an right-digit code found on participating products, Marie Callender’s will donate $.50 to the USO2GO program. Guaranteed minimum donation: $100,000. Maximum donation: $250,000. Limit 5 code entries per person/computer each day. Valid in U.S. only.
After my family polished off last night’s lasagna, it only took a couple of seconds to input the eight-digit code from the back of the package on the website. (There is no registration needed, just enter the code, verify your state and you are done.) A few quick seconds to spread a little extra comfort to those who protect our comforts back home.
Next time you pick up a Marie Callender’s meal or dessert, be sure to look for the special package. And don’t forget to enter the code online.

Such a great thing to do and be a part of. I don’t know of anyone personally that is overseas and I cannot imagine what they go through but I do hope that what we try to do from here helps.
