Playtex Baby Products That Stand The Test Of Time ~ 10 Winner Giveaway

Babies need a lot of stuff. And while much of that stuff is only needed for the first few months, it is funny how some baby items get woven into your life and become a must-have item long after baby is no longer a baby. Two of those items that have become part of my day-to-day life are a dishwasher basket and an insulated bottle tote

My girls are now six and two, so we are long past the bottle stage, and really, because I solely breastfeed, we used very few bottles. So it might seem odd that these are two products that I use regularly, and yet, it shows how versatile they are. Since mine have seen quite a bit of wear, I was thrilled to receive new Playtex ones as part of the  Playtex Baby Mom Trust.

Playtex Insulated Bottle Tote

While bottles were not a big deal in this house, sippy cups are huge. (My oldest still drinks from a sippy cup when she has her cup of milk before bed on the couch or in the car — hello, spilt milk.) So there is a constant need to carry them with us and keep them cold on the go.

For travel the Playtex insulated bottle tote makes the perfect caddy for sippy cups, single-serve milk cartons, snacks and even lunch.

What I like best about the Playtex insulated bottle tote is that comes with gel ice packs that fit perfectly into pockets inside the tote. No cramming ill-fitting ice packs in with the bottles (like my old bottle tote), everything just fits. There is enough room for three bottles, two sippy cups or four single-serve Horizon milks. Plenty of room.

Playtex Insulated Bottle Tote

Plus it comes with a detachable pacifier holder. I can’t tell you how many times my husband and I remind ourselves, “You packed the paci, right?” Now it is attached to the outside of the tote as an easy reminder and an easy visual that it is packed. (While this part of the tote won’t be needed forever, I am sure we can find some other use for it when baby girl finally gives up the paci.)

As you can see, the Playtex insulated bottle tote is a stylish black tote. So even after we are finally through with sippy cups, the tote can easily be used for lunches and snacks because it doesn’t scream baby product.

The Playtex insulated bottle tote retails for $19.28 and is available from Amazon.

Playtex SmartSaver Dishwasher Basket

If your home is anything like mine, you probably run your dishwasher several times a week. Because of all of the little pieces — bottle pieces, sippy cup valves, plastic spoons, straws, etc, a dishwasher basket is a must. In fact, there has been one running in dishwasher load in our house for the last six + years.

I like the Playtex SmartSaver dishwasher basket because it does just what it says — it saves precious space. It is about three inches shorter than my old basket, which leaves room for one more cup, but it still holds everything I need. And since I need all the space I can get in the dishwasher, and its compact design is my favorite feature.

  5. Right now, for my two year old, the Must have is his Lightning McQueen cup and blanket. If we leave the house without “da queen” it is a countdown to the melt down. And for our 3 month old, It has to be Spare clothes. He’s mostly breast fed and right now he is a poopasaurus rex. Never fails, the minute we pull him out of the car to go visit, he poops up his back:P

  20. I think the best on-the-go product is a Bjorn or some sort of sling. As long as I have that, we can figure out/pick up the rest. But got to have the snugglies to keep the baby happy. 🙂
