Disney Sofia the First Magical Tea Time ~ Giveaway

Two things my girls love – tea parties and Sofia the First – come together in Magical Tea Time game from Wonder Forge. And it is too darn cute! With everything you need to have a tea party plus a little (pretend) magic, your little princess can practice her manners while having fun.

This is a sponsored post.

Sofia the First Game Magical Tea Time

About the game:

It’s time for tea with Princess Sofia! As the magical teapot blows on your tea, the color in your teacup changes! There are so many pretty treats for tea time. When the color in your teacup changes, you earn the treats on the plate of the matching color! Along the way, Sofia and the Good Fairies reward you for your proper tea time manners!

The game is played by collecting treats (made out of sturdy cardboard). On the back of each treat are symbols that indicate what to do — serve the treat to one of the fairies, use good manners to collect the treat, serve guests tea and more. The object of the game is to collect as many treats as possible (yum!). It is a simple game, perfect for preschoolers.

The “magic” happens when you serve the tea. Tea is poured with a puff of air from the pot that spins a color disk on the teacup. It’s really cute, but it is a little difficult. You have to get the puff just right, or the disk doesn’t spin (laws of physics at work here). So that part definitely takes practice. I have a feeling there will be a lot of puffing air at each other too.

My only complaint is that the tea pot looks nothing like the picture. It is soft plastic, and rather dull compared to the shinny pretty one on the box. Compared to the rest of the game, which seems very high quality, the tea pot looks a little dull. Silly cosmetic complaint, I know. But the tea pot was not what I expected.

That said as a mom, I love this game. It is cute and girly, so my girls will love it. But I love it because it reinforces good manners as rewards are given to advance in the game for acting like a proper princess.

I know my princess is going to love it, and I am sure yours will too.

Disney Junior Sofia The First Magical Tea Time Game

Great Gift For – Preschool-aged princesses. The game is recommended for ages 3+. When I first saw the game, I thought my 2 year old might be able to play it (she LOVES Sofia), but after closer inspection, I think the directions are too complicated for her. I am sure she will happily play with the pieces, but the actual game is beyond her. However, in another year it will be perfect. For now, I know my 5-year-old love the game.

Where to Buy – Magical Tea Time is a Toys R Us exclusive. It retails for $19.99 and is available online or in store. Shop through Ebates to buy the game for free in-store pick up and save 2% in cash back.

  1. If I were lucky enough to win this, it would be for my 6 year old niece (Sophia). She loves this Disney character for so many reasons, but mostly because of the same name! What fun the game sounds like and it’s so cute!
