Wordless Wednesday ~ First Day Of Kindergarten

She was excited, I was wistful, baby sister was beside herself. The first day of school has come and gone, and I now officially have a Kindergartener. She woke up Monday morning with a giant smile on her face that never wore off.

1st day of school

After posing for pictures, she was off on the bus. As the bus pulled away her baby sister cried out, “My KK!!!!!!!” That’s when mom started tearing up.

Sad Baby Sister

After school K was still grinning ear to ear. When I put baby sister down for a nap K said to me, “I’m not tired, and I don’t have to take a nap because I am a Kindergartner now.” After about 30 minutes of playing I discovered this.

Sleeping

It was a big day!

This post takes me back. My oldest daughter, now an 8th grader, loved school. The closer we got to school her first year of K, the faster her little legs would go. I’m a fast walker and I remember wondering if I was going to have to start jogging to keep up. =)

K looked absolutely adorable on her first day! From that last picture, it looks like her first day was a success. Rylie has been so tired after school too…I guess all the excitement wears them out. Such a fun time!

Oh My Goodness…this is so sweet and heartbreaking at the same time. I have two Girlies as well and had almost the same scene last year. Absolutely precious.
