Buy Produce At Publix & Support The Children’s Miracle Network ~ $50 Giveaway

This post is brought to you by Produce for Kids, however, all thoughts and opinions are my own.

From now through June 27, 2013, the more produce Publix shoppers add to their shopping carts, the more hope they give to local children. Through the 11th annual Get Healthy, Give Hope campaign, Produce for Kids and Publix locations are once again teaming up to help raise funds for local Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.

When Publix shoppers purchase participating fresh fruit and vegetables, the suppliers will make a consumption-based donation to local Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. That means you can help a child in need just by purchasing healthy fruits and veggies for your kiddos that were probably on your shopping list anyway!

To learn more about the campaign, look for the Produce for Kids in-store displays. In addition to campaign information, the displays also feature easy-to-prepare recipes, so maybe you can find some dinner inspiration while you shop!

Produce for Kids Logo

Produce for Kids encourages healthy eating among families by providing simple, healthy meal solutions and resources for parents, while raising funds for local children’s non-profit organizations. Since 2002, its campaigns have raised more than $4.2 million for children’s non-profit organizations.

On the Produce for Kids website you will find more than 90 easy Ideal Meals recipes, games and activities for kids featuring characters from the popular Sprout health-focused children’s series “LazyTown” and “The Chica Show” and lots of  tips on healthy eating for kids.

Keep up with Produce for Kids on Facebook where you can also enter the Get Healthy with Produce for Kids Sweepstakes for the chance to win a Sprout gift basket and grocery store gift cards. In addition, Produce for Kids will be holding weekly giveaways on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram throughout the campaign.

The following companies proudly support the Get Healthy, Give Hope campaign at Publix locations and your local Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals: Crunch Pak® Sliced Apples; Del Monte Fresh Produce N.A., Inc. – Del Monte Gold® Extra Sweet Pineapple; Chiquita Fresh – Fresh Express® Packaged Salads; J & D Produce, Inc. – Little Bear Brand Vidalia® Sweet Onions; SUNSET® Campari® Brand Cocktail Tomatoes & Tomatoes on the Vine; Minute Maid® Pure Squeezed Orange Juice; Pero Family Farms® Mini Sweet Peppers, Mini Seedless Cucumbers, Organic Snipped Green Beans, Fajita Mix, Green Beans, Squash & Carrots; Shuman Produce – RealSweet® Vidalia® Onions; Tasti-Lee®Tomatoes; Ventura Foods – Marie’s® Dressings; Village Farms® Heavenly Villagio Marzano, Sinfully Sweet™ Campari & Tomatoes on the Vine.
