The Easiest Mac And Cheese Recipe Ever

The holiday menu is more about tradition than anything else. Whether you enjoy a meal that is culturally traditional or just traditional to your family, chances are your Christmas menu looks pretty similar year after year. In our family, we enjoy a combination of classics like ham and stuffing, but we also have our own holiday flavors like mom’s easiest mac and cheese recipe ever.

Ok so not everyone considers mac and cheese a Christmas flavor, but in our house, it wouldn’t be Christmas without it. My guess is that mom started the tradition when we were kids because we were picky eaters and she knew we would eat it, but it has grown from just the kids eating it to the whole family expecting it. She makes two full-size boxes of macaroni noodles for the day. YUM!

There are tons of ways to make mac and cheese, but our house favorite is just about the simplest.

The Easiest Mac And Cheese Recipe Ever

Ingredients:

  • 1 bag shredded Sharp Cheese
  • 1 box macaroni noodles
  • Spoonful of butter / margarine
  • Splash of milk

Directions:

Boil and prepare the noodles.

When they are done, strain and return to the pot.

Dump in bag of cheese, spoonful of butter, a splash of milk and stir until completely mixed.

That’s it. Simple and delicious.

Winn Dixie wants to celebrate your family food traditions by giving you the chance to share your story and submit your favorite holiday recipe for a chance to be featured in the Holiday Recipes to Impress e-cookbook. I checked out the e-cookbook on Facebook, and there are some yummy looking recipes including one for homemade apple cider in a crock pot. (I might have to try that one.)

Whether you want to share your favorite family recipe or just browse for ideas, check out the e-cookbook. You’ll find even more ideas for preparing the perfect holiday meal on Winn Dixie’s Holiday website.

Happy Holidays!
