K is obsessed, I mean OBSESSED with Octonauts, which is a show on Disney Junior about a team of ocean explorers. Let me emphasize again, obsessed. Her obsession has let to a sudden interest in the ocean and the creatures in the ocean. So I decided to capitalize on her interest and turn it into a little learning with the LeapFrog Explorer Learning Game: The Magic School Bus Oceans.
From LeapFrog:
Give your kids a head start in science with this LeapFrog Explorer Game Cartridge. Ideal for kids ages five to eight, this Magic School Bus Oceans game teaches science knowledge and skills for young children. Join Ms. Frizzle and her class as they hop on their school bus for a day of science exploration. Your young student will learn about sea animals, identifying and sorting, observation, logic, and reasoning.
Why I Love It – As much as I love the princesses, it is nice to see my daughter play something that isn’t pink every once in a while. This game is straight up educational disguised as a video game. After checking out the game, I predict more Magic School bus products coming for her birthday (books, DVDs, etc.). Educational entertainment is right up our alley.
