Watched and ordered items from Tangaroa fashions 6/28/11 have since not been contacted or received these items. Have tried to contact them, with no response or answer to where my order is and the website just says I cannot contact them.
Please advise if you have any info on this company. Now that they have my money and probably everyone else’s I guess they don’t have to reply. These aren’t deals if it’s fraud.

If you cannot get a response, it may be worth trying to contact the TODAY Show, or dispute the charge on your credit card. Again, very sorry to hear you are having a problem with the order.
I had the exact same experience, and thanks to the number you posted, I was able to reach someone. Lady over the phone infomed me that the shipping take about 3-5 wks, and everyone that place the order because of the Today show will be be getting their tracking # via e-mail by Monday. I have akready contacted my banks and had an potential fraud case open. I will keep it open until I actually have the items in my hand.
Sorry for all the trouble. It is crazy that retailers still don’t get that when they do a huge deal they will have a huge response and prepare accordingly. I hope it works out and you get your item. I know the one thing I ordered from a deal took about two months to arrive… Good luck and glad the # helped.
I ordered the Hobo bag from Maxine Couture in late June and just realized I’ve not received it. I tried contacting the company, but only a very unprofessional voicemail answered. Has anyone received their bags? I purchased mine on June 29th, 2011.

I didn’t order this one myself, but the dress I ordered in the spring time took nearly 8 weeks to arrive…
I ordered the Breeze Comfort Bras on June 28th. I only recently recieved two of the three I ordered, a full 7 weeks after my order. The full amount was charged to my credit card. Inside the package I received of the two bras there was not an invoice or anytype of order form or confirmation. I did print out the receipt page the day I ordered but there is not any contact information for the company. How do I go about finding where my other bra is? Thank you, Paula

I ordered the hobo bag (zebra print) when it was offered on the Today show, June 28, 2011. I finally recieved it by UPS today August 11, 2011. I own a few QUALITY leather bags, and let me assure you, this bag is not QUALITY. I made the mistake of wearing a white shirt when I carried the bag and the nap of the suede rubbed off onto my shirt. My hands turn black if i handle it to much, and what woman doesn’t “man-handle” her purse? In short, this bag is a piece o’ crap, and I feel sorry for anyone who may have paid full price for this product or any other Maxine Couture products. I know it cannot be returned and i’m stuck with it, but I’ve learned my lesson, and I will NEVER purchase another thing from that company. It seems as if very few companies make anything of QUALITY anymore. And Maxine, get a dictionary, the company name itself is fraudulent, a product, mass-produced, as these bags are, does not fit the definition of “COUTURE”.
Oh no – that is TERRIBLE! Color should NEVER come off a leather bag. What an awful experience. Like you said, glad you at least didn’t pay full price!!!
I also purchased that zebra bag. The hardware on purse is cheap and the bag smells like plastic. I mistakenly assumed that a product offered through the highly respected Today show would not be so fraudently presented. I would not have minded waiting had the bag been the quality it was said to be. I caanot return and will NEVER use this bag. Look for a flood to be offered on Ebay!
That is AWFUL. I am so surprised too! Personally, I would write the TODAY Show too! You won’t get your money back, but they ought to know!
I not only purchased the Maxine Couture Mamba Hobo bag for myself, but also for my daughter who only uses quality accessories. The violet color rubs off on everything & the quality is way below par. I am embarrassed & feel I’ve been taken. Have sent emails to both Maxine Couture & NBC. I feel they grossly misrepresented what we were getting. As consumers, we need to speak up or this type of fraud will continue.

I agree with all of you. I just got mine while gone on a trip and was grossly disappointed in the mamba hobo..zebra. It is not black and white zebra on printed snake or even leather. It smells plastic to me. Shiny… I don’t know about rubbing off yet. Not a label in sight about being leather or the label that this is actually a designer bag..even a fake label. I should be able to buy something like this for $15 in a discount shop.
On top of that it was not even shipped for 5 1/2 weeks.
Two weeks ago I sent an email in to TODAY but I haven’t a clue if they ever got it. If they did, they did not return my email. I will never buy anything from their site again. I should have known not to buy something like this without seeing it but I trusted TODAY to vet their sales. Let me know if there is a link to where I can complain more about this handbag and sale.
BTW… there are already some of these on Ebay.
This is grossly disappointing! I haven’t found anywhere to directly complain about this bag, but I am on the hunt. I can’t believe the TODAY Show would endorse something so obviously not high-quality!
I found Jill Martin at Twitter by browsing around. I made a tweet about not buying from @JillMartin with this deal I made being such a fraud as to what was represented. This stuff cannot be real leather even. AND it does come off on you. I took this one to the grocery store just now to try it out…and something black came off on my light jeans as I set it in my lap to look for something.
I also made a remark about the Jill’s Steals and Deals on the TODAY show on my FB account. Anywhere I can, I will give them a bad review. Really ticks me off to be taken and I have not been much as I am generally careful.
i just got mine and really love it. i gave one to my sister and she does too. i took it to my tailor to see what the material was and he said it was real leather. i think it just looks like it isn’t because of the snake print on the bag. the bone color is beautiful and i am really happy with my purchase! i can’t imagine anyone with a good sense of style not liking this bag! even my mom who is over 60 loves it so i know it isn’t an age thing.
At least one person is satisfied. I remain distressed regarding this purchase, especially as I have no available action to take. I feel as I have been swindled. I have purchased bags of much superior quality than this Maxine ‘couture as the local flea market. Jill, how could you offer such a piece of junk with a straight face?
I placed an order from Breeze Comfort and haven’t received a thing. No email and no product. My credit card was charged back in June. I have had no email correspondence at all. I have ordered through Jill’s before and the company’s have always kept me up-to-date. Not this time.
I continue to be amazed at the lack of communication some of these companies have!!! I do know some readers have recently been receiving their bras, but they may be coming in batches… Here’s the contact info I have for them, perhaps you can get some information….

I don’t know what ‘even over 60’ has to do with it. This bag is not as advertised. Who in their right mind would make a real leather bag look and smell like vinyl? As well as the poorly made construction and hardware of the one I got. I will post when I find out my money is refunded. BTW… you are able to get money back legally if something is not as advertised or is fraudulent.

Ditto to all your comments. This bag is a piece of junk. The hardware is cheap – mine is actually missing the pull tag for the front zipper – and the “leather” feels like a cheap plastic tarp. I also have the Zebra.
I own a couple of Michael Kors bags that were half the cost of the supposed value of this bag and are so much better quality. I would have gone to the Coach outlet for a much better “steal and deal” but I too trusted the iconic Today Show to stand behind the quality of their offerings.
I do not expect timely shipment, as these companies are overwhelmed with orders, but I do expect the level of quality represented by the show.
I agree we should contact NBC or this type of fraud will persist. However, we should all be contacting the same individual. Does anyone have a contact person with email address?
The only “steal” here was Maxine Couture absconding with my money!
Oh…almost forgot what with my aging memory and all. Jamie, I am 59 years old, and, even with my frailties and aging eyesight I can still spot the difference between quality workmanship and crap.
Watching NBC this morning with more Jill’s steals and wondering if anyone has ever received a response either from NBC or Maxine Couture.
I disputed the Maxine Couture order with my credit card company, and I received confirmation last week that I would receive a full credit. Never received a response from Maxine regarding my concerns with the product: quality, color, etc. Sadly I am out my return shipping charges and all of the time I wasted on this endeavor.
Pretty disappointed in the Today Show for not vetting this company before offering the bags.

I ordered three purses in Nov.(KristenBell for Erica Anenberg) One of the purses the messenger bag had the long strap missing. I have not had any luck getting it they said they sent it out Dec.30,2011. Even with the holidays it should have been here. Needless to say I am very upset.
