Pringles Extreme Freebie Offer Not Legit

If you took advantage of the freebie offer I posted the other day for the free can of Pringles Extreme (I signed up too), you’ll want to remove the Facebook application from your account.  It appears that this was not a legitimate offer from Pringles. The offer quickly spread around the Internet and was posted on numerous blogs, forums etc.  I always try to ensure that offers I post are legit, but unfortunately some things do slip through. 🙁

Here’s how to remove the application from your Facebook account.

  • Log into your Facebook Account.
  • Click on Account at the top right of the page.
  • Click on Application Settings from the drop-down menu.
  • Find “Pringles Extreme” in the list of applications and click on the “x” to delete it.

I was wondering about that offer, so thankfully I followed my gut feeling and didn’t do it. I always get a bit leery when the offers require facebook applications.
