Label Daddy Review & Giveaway

Until recently, we haven’t had a need to label my daughter’s things. I work from home, so she isn’t in a setting where her things get mixed up with others. (Well, we have lost a few things at playgroups along the way, but I just gave up on those things.) But that is all starting to change…

In January, I joined a gym (yeay for me) so now she goes to the gym daycare a couple days a week. And starting in August, my baby will be going to PRE-SCHOOL!!! (I can’t believe it!) So, the world of labels is upon us.

Like everything else, I want cute labels for my daughter. (I remember the primary-colored, gender-neutral labels from the ’80s, I want something more personal and girly.) When I discovered Label Daddy, I knew I found what I was looking for. If you want simple and basic, no problem. But if you are a Disney fan – like me – then you can choose from a number of Disney characters including Princesses, Cars, Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, Goofy, Pooh and more. Of course, I choose Minnie Mouse since everything is Minnie Mouse in this house these days.

In addition to the assortment of designs (15 options just for Minnie Mouse), there are a variety of label options. From mini labels, which are perfect to label tags in clothing, to large labels for backpacks or suitcases. All labels are self-stick – no ironing or sewing, machine washable (dishwasher, washing machine, dryer & microwave safe), laminated and cute.

I chose to get the “School Pack,” and even though I read how many stickers would come in the pack, it seemed like even more when the pack arrived. (School Pack = 1 Bag Tag, 45 Extra Small, 30 Small, 20 Medium, 10 Large, 18 Mini shoe labels, 8 Shoe and 4 Zipper Tags.) Without a doubt, my favorite tags are the Zipper Tags. They are awesome. I put one on my daughter’s backpack, favorite (Minnie Mouse) jacket, one will be for her lunch bag and I haven’t decided how I will use the last yet.

The next thing I started labeling – sippy cups! Although I still think my curious daughter might start picking at the stickers, so far she has left them alone. I picked at one to see how well it was stuck on, and it is on there pretty good. After some work, I was able to peel the corner a bit, but then I didn’t want to mess it up so I pushed it back down.

  1. I would use these to label my son’s things as he starts kindergarten in the fall. I would choose the lion icon for him.

  2. Oh I would choose one of the Toy Story icons for sure. Most likely Either Slinky or Bullseye. Those are my son’s favorites.
