She is beautiful, she is mysterious and she is just about as wicked as they come — she is Maleficent and for the first time she will soon have the chance to tell her side of the story. This week Maleficent will take her place on the big screen, and I can’t wait to see what unfolds.
“Maleficent” explores the untold story of Disney’s most iconic villain from the classic “Sleeping Beauty” and the elements of her betrayal that ultimately turn her pure heart to stone. Driven by revenge and a fierce desire to protect the moors over which she presides, Maleficent cruelly places an irrevocable curse upon the human king’s newborn infant Aurora. As the child grows, Aurora is caught in the middle of the seething conflict between the forest kingdom she has grown to love and the human kingdom that holds her legacy. Maleficent realizes that Aurora may hold the key to peace in the land and is forced to take drastic actions that will change both worlds forever.
Because she is such a wonderful villain that we all love to hate, I rounded up some wickedly good free printables and crafts. If you only check out one, you have to look at the paper dolls – oh my they are beautiful!

Last month, at the Disney Social Media Moms Conference, the lovely and graceful Elle Fanning (the fair Princess Aurora) joined us to talk about her role in the movie along with producer Don Hahn. Oh and to celebrate her 16th birthday with a cake from Mickey Mouse.
This isn’t the whole clip we saw, but it is a tease of part of the clip we were treated to. Shivers!
