To be perfectly honest with you, I am very particular when I go out to eat. I expect a certain standard—especially at a fine establishment like Charley’s. Well, I am pleased to inform you that it exceeded my expectations.
During my Decade of Memories, I was treated to Charley’s Steak & Seafood Grill in Kissimmee, Florida, and from the moment I walked in I felt welcome. The ambiance was just right for a romantic setting, as well as a relaxing dinner with the family.
One thing that really stood out for me was that there are no antibiotics or hormones in the steaks. Plus, the steers are treated humanely. For me, that is a huge plus.
OK, now, let me tell you about the tasty morsels I was treated to…
Pan Fried Calamari. These little guys are cooked with an assortment of peppers (spicy and mild), and served with a tasty marinara sauce. I loved this appetizer. It was light, crisp, and oh-so-delish.
After my appetizer, I had a house salad and their garlic cheese butter bread. The salad was an average salad—no frills. The bread was scrumptious.
Next up was a 22 ounce Kansas City strip steak. I ordered it medium, and that is exactly how I received it. It was honestly one of the best steaks I have ever had at a restaurant. It was HUGE. I was only able to eat half in one sitting—especially with desert in my future. My steak was served with roasted garlic red skin mashed (potatoes). Yum.
Finally, I had the privilege of sampling an array of Charley’s desserts, including: key lime pie, chocolate cake, carrot cake and a chocolate moose ball. They were all delicious, however, my favorite was the chocolate mousse. Oh, and the delectable frosting on the chocolate cake!
Whether you are looking for a great place for date night, a special occasion dinner, or dinner out with the family, I highly recommend Charley’s Steak House Seafood & Grill. I thought it was perfectly spectacular!
