5. Super-size Father’s Day Fun – Step away from the ordinary day, and make it a Father’s Day to remember. Last year my neighbor rented a huge — HUGE — inflatable water slide. She surprised her husband and all of the husbands in the neighborhood with a spur of the moment fun. We all spent our day sliding, Superman-style, down the slide and making beautiful memories.

Whatever you do, go big! This is Super Dad we are talking about.

  5. I don’t commemorate Father’s Day because my father left before I was born and didn’t want to see me or get to know me. His loss. I did have some male figures in my life growing up, but I will never know the joy of being a daddy’s girl and having that special bond. A call to my godfather is the best I can do, to tell him how much I appreciated him helping me grow into the woman I am today.
