Moms if you have a mini Dora the Explorer in your house, then mark your calendar. Walmart will be hosting free, in-store events September 20-23, 2012 from 11 am – 4 pm and 1 pm – 6 pm (on 9/23 only) where your little ones can decorate their own Dora the Explorer Gymnastics Show Ribbons. A little shopping and craft time with your kiddos’ favorite cartoon character, yes please.
These in-store events will celebrate the Dora the Explorer gymnastics-themed line that includes everything a little gymnast could want including DVDs, dolls, video games, coloring books, clothing and more. In addition to take-home crafts, mini explorers can check out the doll demos. The new Gymnastics Dora is ready to win the gold with two gymnastic routines and seven unique moves from splits, to handstands, to back bends and more. Dora also says over 40 phrases in English and Spanish, and sings a special gymnastics song. (Sounds like a good time to work on that Santa wish list.)
You can find these special events at select stores in front of the Dora the Explorer display in the Toy Aisle. You can check to see if your local Walmart will be participating in these events by entering your zipcode on Walmart.com (look for the box in the upper right corner that looks like the image above). In my area, it looks like all of the Supercenters are participating.
