I don’t eat blue processed foods. I just don’t. I think they are gross. Yes, I realize there are dyes in a lot of the things I eat that I never even think about, but blue — I just can’t do it. It’s not that I have anything against the color blue, I love blueberries. I love anything made with blueberries. But when it comes to fake blue things, ewww.

One of the fake blue foods that icks me out the most are gummy snacks. I have always purchased organic gummy snacks for my daughter, but suddenly she is at the age that she wants ones like her friends eat. She calls the organic ones “sticky.” But I just can’t bring myself to buy the gummies with completely unnatural blue things.

Thank you Mott’s for a compromise we can both live with!

Mott’s Medley’s are made with fruit vegetable juices and natural flavors and colors – that makes mom happy. And K is happy because they look like the ones her friends eat – except no blue ones (more happy mom).

So the big question, how do they taste? They got a thumbs up from my girl, who has been happily gobbling up the boxes we received. It’s nearly time to buy more.

The only draw back for K is that they don’t come in the form of characters. That might come back to bite me as she has already asked about that… But for now I was able to convince her that the fruit shapes were fun. 🙂

No, these snacks are not a substitute for fruits and vegetables – they are a snack food. Yes, they have sugar in them – they are a snack food.
