Cesar Cookie Crunchies; Yummy Treats For Small Dogs

When it comes to canine companions, there are big-dog people and there are small-dog people. I am a small-dog people. (Once upon a time my husband thought he was big-dog people, but from the moment we brought Bear home he became little-dog people too.) Our girls are not just little dogs, they are teeny tiny dogs – five and six pounds each, full grown.

Little dog people know that regular dog food and treats don’t cut it. Little dogs need little treats and little food. Regular size treats are bigger than my dogs mouths! And while my doggies are small, little Bella has a tenancy to pack on the pounds. I know that sounds funny, but when she goes from six to seven pounds, you can really tell. We went through a while where the vet kept fussing at us because of her weight. Since then she’s been on diet doggie food (poor Bear get diet too because two dog foods is just too hard). She does much better on the diet doggie food, but we still have to watch her.

Of course diet or no diet, we love to give our pups treats. Just look at these faces, how could you not?

I was recently sent Cesar Cookie Crunchies for our dogs to try. Made with little dogs in mind, these crunchy treats are just 10 calories each and about the size of a quarter. The treats come in two flavors; rotisserie chicken and filet mignon (of course).

I was a little concerned Bear wouldn’t be into the treats. She tends to prefer moist treats. (Yes, I have one dog that is an over eater with a weight issue and one dog that is so picky I have to make sure she eats to stay at her weight. Shesh!) There was no need to worry, after much begging (while crazy ole mom tried to get two dogs and a baby to all look at the camera and hold still) Bear ate up the treats and was ready for more. (Luckily, I am a sucker for those faces and the girls got to try one of each flavor.)

I did manage to get both dogs looking… but not my little helper…

Cesar Cookie Crunchies get two paws up from my girls.
