Its not a free sub. You pay full price and the location donates either $2 per sub or 50% of your total. There is no discount. I found this out after spending $46 on five subs. ;(

That stinks! It looks there are two different ways Jersey Mikes locations are participating, either with a free sub or just making donations. This is from the Jersey Mike’s website (http://www.jerseymikes.com/news/read.php?id=428), “On that day, our customers will either make a minimum $2 contribution to thier local charity in exchange for a free regular sub, or the store will donate 50 percent of the day’s sales to their charity.”

It’s annoying that different locations would do different promos!

All I know is I donated $2 and got a free sub. Actually I felt guilty getting a sub for only a $2 donation, so I donated $5. Way to go Jersey Mike’s for making a real difference to a local charity. They don’t have to do this, but they choose to do this and I think they deserve to be recognized for their active community involvement.

That’s great to hear! And you are right, I do think they deserve to be recognized.
