In the summer, we spend a lot of time outside – playing in the yard, at the splash park, the beach, Disney, etc. It’s Florida, so we like to be outside as much as we can starting about March until late August. And being outside in the hot Florida means that we need to protect ourselves from the sun – after all I may be a Floridian, but I have super pale skin. So we go through a lot of sunscreen in our house.
This is a compensated post written by me on behalf of Walgreens.
Like most things, I prefer not to spend an arm and a leg on sunscreen. After all, with multiple applications for one day at the beach, a tube of sunscreen doesn’t last long. So, I buy generic. Like most generic brands, Walgreens Brand Sunscreen Lotion is virtually the same as name brand sunscreen, except for the price. So why spend more?
We recently brought a tube of Walgreens Brand Sunscreen Lotion (SPF 50) with us to Disney, and while many of the tourists looked like lobsters, we were happy to remain protected from the sun. (If only sunscreen could have a cooling effect too!) In addition to protecting us from the sun, I liked that it wasn’t greasy and didn’t leave a white film on our skin – VERY important in a good sunscreen.
Another cool thing about purchasing Walgreens Brand Health & Wellness Products is that every purchase of these products supports bringing preventive wellness services to local communities through the Walgreens Way to Well Fund™. The Walgreens Way to Well Fund™ provides free preventive health tests and other health and wellness services and education to local communities.
