Secrets of the Mountain Review & Giveaway

We are movie (and TV) junkies in my family. To us, watching a movie together gives us a chance to unwind and share something together. I know it sounds cheesy, but it is our thing. Even as a little girl, “holding on the couch” and watching a movie was a special time for our family, and it is a tradition we will cherish with our daughter.

“Secrets of the Mountain” looks to be the perfect movie to add to this tradition. Premiering Friday,April 16 at 8 pm EST on NBC, the  movie follows one family on the journey of a lifetime that brings them closer together. I just finished watching the trailer for the movie, and I can’t wait to watch it with my family. I am such a sap for good, heartwarming family flicks, and this looks right up our alley. Of course, watching it with my 2-year-old means we will have to watch it in 30 minute segments – because her attention span starts to wander, but I look forward to it.

Check out the trailer for yourself:

  1. We do all sorts of things together. Go to movies, go swimming, paint pottery, anything that gets us up and out of the house. I am at home all week babysitting kids and i want OUT when the weekend comes. Luckily I live in a town that has lots of parks and also lakes with ducks to feed. Lakeland even had a family friendly free outdoor movie this past weekend. They played Cloudy with a chance of meatballs on a big screen downtown at the promenade. Fun for the whole family!

  2. Movie looks great! Our family hits the outdoors. Our favorite is the beach, Dad surfs, kids can swim & cover themselves in the sand and Mom gets to sit and relax – Fun for all.

  3. We love to watch tv or a movie together. We also enjoy going to the diner in town for dinner. I think the best quality time we spend together is around the dinner table. Thanks!

  4. We watch a lot of cartoons together.
But recently we have been spending family time with our 4 year old twins by playing playdooh or moonsand.
It neat to watch their imaginations.

  5. We have movie night once a week. We watch a family movie… new or from the collection and we eat popcorn and candy and snuggle. Then the kids get to sleep together in the same room. The kids look forward to it every week.
