A Yummy Frozen Treat – My favorite!

We are a desert family; I am a desert girl! Yum!

A few months ago, while pursuing the ice cream novelty section, I discovered Diana’s Bananas Banana Babies! Ever since I was a kid one of my favorite treats at Disney and fairs has been a chocolate covered frozen banana – yum! Suddenly, this frozen goodness is available at my Publix!!! I bought a box of dark chocolate Banana Babies and couldn’t wait to try them.

One bite and I was hooked. Not only are they “Weirdly Good” as it says on the box, they are weirdly healthy. (Well, at least more so than most of the novelties I once ate.) They are just a banana dipped in chocolate – plus I get dark chocolate so more antioxidants, right? LOL!

My husband was skeptical at first, but now I have gotten him and my parents hooked too! My sister is still a hold out, since she only likes milk chocolate, but I am going to win her over with a box milk chocolate Banana Babies! In the mean time, with only 4 5 in each box, I can’t keep these things in my freezer! (So far, I haven’t found any coupons, but I have seen them on sale from time to time. But even at full price, I have to have them.) Try them, and let me know what you think!

Mighty glad to read your note. I own Diana’s Bananas and am very proud that you really enjoy the Banana Babies. One concern, they come 5 per box, did you get one with less?

And, they aren’t just bananas. They are harvested in the Ecadorian jungle, processed in our plant just minutes away. They are tested for sweetness and must be perfect before we use them. The chocolate is special too. Did you notice that it isn’t likely to crack off like most icecream bars do. We worked on that.

We don’t operate coupons yet. We do try to keep the promotions very active and you can use our website to find all the promotions that are going on.

Thanks again, Bob Carmody (Bobby Chimp)

Bob is right, there are 5 in a box… after going through box after box you would think I would know that. Silly typo. I have to buy 2 boxes at a time so there will be an even number of bananas for my hubby and me!

Very cool that you got a comment from the owner of Diana’s Bananas! I discovered Banana Babies when Publix had them BOGO, and I also really enjoyed the healthier frozen treat. I’m a big fan of dark chocolate, but I prefer the milk chocolate Banana Babies.
