A Christmas Carol is probably one of the most remade Christmas stories. Off the top of my head, I can think of five different versions of the story. And I think I have seen them all. But out of all of the versions, my favorite is Mickey’s A Christmas Carol. It is probably safe to say that I have seen it every Christmas since I was a girl.
Now available for the first time on Blu-Ray, Mickey’s A Christmas Carol is celebrating 30 years. If you don’t have this one in your Christmas movie library it is time to add it. (I had the VHS copy, upgraded to DVD and now Blu-Ray!)
Make the season merry as Mickey, Goofy, Donald and all their pals star in a heartwarming retelling of Dickens’ unforgettable holiday tale. Ebenezer Scrooge (Scrooge McDuck) is far too greedy to understand that Christmas is a time for kindness and generosity. But with the guidance of some wise ghosts (Goofy and Jiminy Cricket) and a bunch of newfound friends, Scrooge learns to embrace the spirit of the season. Share this wonderful holiday treat with the whole family!
New to this re-release of Mickey’s A Christmas Carol, the bonus features are classic Disney cartoons and one new favorite. Yodelberg is from the new Mickey Mouse series of shorts that airs on the Disney channel. We were already fans of this new series, so my girls were delighted to see it included with the movie. The other cartoons are all classic winter-themed shorts from the ’30s-’50s. Pluto’s Christmas Tree is one of my all-time favorites, so I was thrilled to see it included. (If only my other favorite, Donald’s Snow Fight had been included!)
- Pluto’s Christmas Tree
- Art of Skiing
- Corn Chips
- The Hockey Champ
Run time on Mickey’s A Christmas Carol is 26 minutes (great for short attention spans) and it is 58 minutes with all of the bonus features (great for a longer movie night).
Celebrate the season with Mickey Mouse and Winnie the Pooh and save $5 on the purchase of both with the coupon below.
Also new to Blu-Ray for the first time is Winnie The Pooh: A Very Merry Pooh Year.
This one was new to our family, and they enjoyed every moment of it. I have a feeling that it will be a new tradition for my girls. Filled with cute songs (by Carly Simon) that made my girls want to get up and dance, Winnie The Pooh: A Very Merry Pooh Year is another cute story about the gang in the Hundred Acer Woods. It’s Winnie the Pooh, what’s not to love?
It’s the most wonderful time of the year, but Rabbit will only discover the true spirit of the season after his pals make misguided New Year’s resolutions to change – with hilarious and heartfelt results! Featuring beloved characters, delightful songs and fun-filled bonus goodies, this special “Gift of Friendship Edition” is sure to become a shared family tradition for generations to come!
