Remember those frozen pops you had as a kid that came as a colorful liquid in connected plastic sleeves? They still exist! For the last +40 years kids have been enjoying Fla·Vor·Ice, and I recently introduced my daughter to the frozen goodness.
I really didn’t know they still made Fla·Vor·Ice, but the day after I received a box to share with my family I saw them at CVS (in case you are wondering where you can pick up a box).
Kids love Fla·Vor·Ice because they taste great and are fun to eat. And because they are low in sugar (5g per serving for standard size, low in calories (20 calories per serving for standard size) and cost less than $.10 per serving they are mom approved too.
While we love frozen treats in our house, our freezer is often completely stuffed — completely. One of the great things about Fla·Vor·Ice is that they don’t take up a lot of room in my freezer. I can stash a couple Fla·Vor·Ice in the freezer (in between everything else), keep rest in my pantry and refill as needed. What other frozen treat can you say that about?
In addition to the classic fruity flavors (lemon-lime, grape, tropical punch, orange, berry punch, and strawberry), Fla·Vor·Ice also comes in Candy Shoppe Flavors (red licorice, cotton candy, banana taffy and bubble gum), Tropical Flavors (citrus punch, tropical punch, banana, berry bunch, pineapple and summer punch) and Sugar Free/Light. I am still partial to my childhood favorite red (also known as strawberry), and K’s favorite is purple (grape) although she said she liked the whole rainbow of flavors too. (Which is great because I was always the kid who would only eat a few flavors and leave the rest for someone else.)
