KT Tunstall + Giveaway

We fell in love with the then unknown KT Tunstall when American Idol’s Katharine McPhee sung her Grammy winning song Black Horse and the Cherry Tree in 2006, and since then she has become a name even musically clueless suburban moms, like myself, know and love. Her earthy sound and melodic melodies are both catching and haunting, and the real winner for me – I can sing along.

Her new album Tiger Suit has a totally different sound to her most popular songs like Suddenly I See. The songs on the new album have much more of an electronic sound, and an almost sad sound. I miss some of her simpler, upbeat guitar melodies. But her voice is unmistakable, and I love it.

The song “Golden Frames”sounds like something from True Blood. My favorite song is “Come on” or maybe “(Still a) Weirdo.”

The tracks on the CD are:

1. Uummannaq Song
2. Glamour Puss
3. Push That Knot Away
4. Difficulty
5. Fade Like A Shadow
6. Lost
7. Golden Frames
8. Come On, Get In
9. (Still A) Weirdo
10. Madame Trudeaux
11. The Entertainer

You can listen to a sampling of each song on Amazon, where you can also purchase the CD for $11.88.

Win it – Looking for a stocking stuffer (for yourself), one lucky TheSuburbanMom reader will win KT’s new CD Tiger Suit.

Mandatory Entry – Visit Holiday Gift Guide and tell me one gift that is on your list for the holidays.
