Unicorn Marshmallow Pops

Ingredients

  • Large marshmallows
  • Wilton white candy melts
  • White fondant
  • Wilton gold color mist
  • Sixlets
  • Toothpicks

Instructions

Fondant Unicorn Horns

  1. Take a piece of fondant and roll it into a small ball approximately the diameter of a dime. Roll the ball into a long, even snake-like shape. Carefully fold the piece of fondant in half and gently twist sides together to form a horn shape. The middle becomes the bottom of the horn.

  2. Stick a toothpick in the bottom of the horn and set aside to harden. I punctured holes in a small cardboard box and placed the toothpicks with horns on them in the wholes to keep the horns upright as the fondant hardened.
  3. Once fondant is hardened, spray horns with Wilton Gold Color Mist. I found that my horns needed two coats. Set horns aside to dry.
  4. Tip, I made my horns the day before I made the candy melts so that I didn't have to rush.

Unicorn Marshmallow Pops

  1. Place 20 candy melts in a medium glass bowl and melt according to package directions.
  2. Place a marshmallow in the melted candy. Use one spoon to roll it in the candy and then lift it out of the candy. Use a second spoon to smooth the melted candy around the sides of the marshmallow to give it a smooth surface. Carefully place the candy coated marshmallow on silpat matt or other non-stick surface.
  3. While candy is still melted, place the fondant horn and Sixlets on top of the marshmallow. You may need to hold the horn in place briefly as candy cools.
  4. Allow candy to cool and harden. You can place in the refrigerator to speed up the process. Once hardened chip off any excess candy that might have dripped around the edges.
