When my youngest was born, we gave up our guest room. Actually, I did this big crazy room change and moved my oldest out of the nursery into what was my office and the office into what was the guest room. The result, no guest room.
We don’t have a lot of out-of-town guests. But when my sister-in-law and family come to stay they have to either get a hotel or sleep on the couch. It isn’t very accommodating.
I have grand plans of recouping a guest room by transforming my formal dinning room into an office. Because let’s face it, we never actually use our formal dinning room. I call it our bedroom for the china.
So this is happening, and I am in the process of planning the perfect space for me to work. When designing the perfect space, the first step is a color palate to set the mood. And this is what I am dreaming of – soft, inviting and inspiring.
Kalaty Rugs offers handmade rugs to fit any décor style, including my new office. The one above brings in a neural blue that would go with my color palate, and I like its modern, yet subtle pattern.
I found a lot of rugs I like on Kalaty.com. I also likes the way this blue rug looks in a room.
