On Friday, McNeil launched a massive voluntary recall of several brands of children’s medicine including Tylenol, Motrin, Zyrtec and Benadryl. This recall involves ALL unexpired bottles of the medication effected by the recall, which means that more than likely you have one or more bottles in your medicine cabinet. According to the recall:
“Some of the products included in the recall may contain a higher concentration of active ingredient than is specified; others may contain inactive ingredients that may not meet internal testing requirements; and others may contain tiny particles. While the potential for serious medical events is remote, the company advises consumers who have purchased these recalled products to discontinue use.”
Information about how to receive replacement products for the recalled products has now been released.
