Of course, I also have to point out that Shop Your Way Rewards Members earn points when shopping for appliances using their SYWR card. Earning 10 points per dollar spend, those points really add up when purchasing big-ticket items like appliances. Points can be redeemed just like cash at Sears, Kmart, etc., so it is like earning cash back on your purchase.

One of the best things we did this year was to finally replace our refrigerator after living without an ice maker for nearly two years. Guess where we bought it? That’s right, Sears! We got a great deal, and earned some nice SYWR points that will hopefully go toward a new dishwasher in 2013. (Fingers crossed!)

Do You Believe In Fairy-Tale Flights?

There is always a mix of excitement and dread when boarding a flight. It’s not just the trip at hand, it’s the possibility of who might become your seatmate. Will you sit next to someone who talks your ear off, someone who smells, a crazed child or will you meet someone wonderful.

Traveling solo, I prefer a neighbor who sits quietly allowing me to work with the occasional nicety. When traveling with kids, I prefer fellow parents or grandparents with a patient demeanor and kind smile. I can’t say that I have ever met someone on a flight who has made a lasting impression, but as a romantic at heart I want to believe in a fairy-tale flight.

Did it make you smile? I have to admit that I first saw this trailer waiting to see Skyfall with my husband, and it totally got me. I 100% thought it was a real movie until… well, if you watched it you know when I figured it out. Other than the fact that she says “totes” and “cra” (because no respectable blogger actually talks like that :) ) I was thrilled there was going to be a movie about bloggers… Maybe some day.
