MyPoints Members, make $5 from Magazines.com
As I have blogged about before, I’m a big fan of MyPoints. It’s a very easy way to earn free gift cards. If you have not already signed up for MyPoints, send me an email and I’ll send you a sign up link to get you started.
For those who are already MyPoints members, you likely would have gotten a MyPoints email for Magazines.com yesterday with the subject “$5 Gift Card & 250-Point Bonus from Magazines” that contained a gift card code for $5 you can use on the Magazines.com site. I have learned that you can also redeem the gift card and have a check mailed to you for $5 if you don’t want to use it for a magazine purchase.
All you need to do is go to www.magazines.com/cash, fill out the form under “Redeem a Card for Cash” with your name, address, and gift card code from the email, and they should send you a check for $5. I did get an error trying to submit the form the first time where it said “invalid address”. There are two lines for you to input your mailing address, so I put the “Place” from my address on the second line and it went through fine.
Friday Freebies
Happy Friday to all - I haven’t done a Friday Freebie post in quite a while, busy with the holidays ya know! But I was doing a little surfing today, and I found several good freebies to blog about. Here are the ones I think are worth checking out!

Easy Way to Earn Free Gift Cards – Really!
I know, I know Free Gift Cards sounds to be good to be true, but I promise it is easy and free! Now, before you get too excited, you are not going to get rich this way. But if you can earn even one $50 gift card to Amazon a year just for reading emails, isn’t it worth it? I think it is, and I earn more than that!
There are a LOT of reward sites out there (I know, I have signed up for most of them), but by far my favorite one (and the easiest) is MyPoints.
At MyPoints, the easiest way to earn points is by reading emails. Once you sign up, they send emails to you about their advertisers. For each email you open and click through, you receive 5 points. Some days I don’t get any emails, some days I get 5-6! In less than 5 minutes, I can click through all of these emails and earn points. If you are interested in the offer in the email, you can earn more points by signing up, shopping or whatever the ad asks you to do, but you don’t have to. (Although sometimes, there are really good things to sign up for!)
Other ways to earn points include surveys and shopping through the site (this simply means visiting MyPoints to get to the web site you want to shop at). I have dome some of everything on the site, so I earn points pretty quickly. But my husband ONLY clicks through emails and he has already earned two $50 gift cards to Amazon!
(Side note — I am ready to redeem for a gift card to Amazon today, and I am going to use it to buy the new Mickey Mouse Clubhouse: Mickey’s Adventures in Wonderland movie that came out today. K loves Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, so I am excited to get this video for her for FREE!!!
