Little Mommy My Very Real Baby Doll Review ~ Holiday Gift Guide
When is a baby doll more than just a baby doll? When it talks and responds to physical touch! Baby dolls will never be the same after the Little Mommy My Very Real Baby Doll comes home to live with your little girl. This amazing doll plays back with more than 150 responses – she actually recognizes her toys and randomly says what she wants. Move over high-tech boy toys, the oldest, most classic little girl’s toy has gotten a tech make over.
From Fisher Price:
Every little girl likes to pretend she’s the mommy of an adorable baby, and Little Mommy My Very Real Baby Doll brings that imaginary play to life. Designed for kids ages three and up, this 15-inch doll acts and sounds like a real baby with a total of 150 different words and sounds. She asks for kisses, eats her Popsicle, laughs when she’s tickled, and even sneezes and asks her mommy to wipe her nose. My Real Baby comes with a Popsicle, clean-up cloth, feeding bowl and spoon, plastic Band-Aid, and toy bear.
Why I Love It – “How many baby dolls does a little girl need?” That is the question my husband asks over and over as he surveys the playroom. He just doesn’t get it. But an interactive doll that appeals to his love for gadgets, and he is all about it. And so is our daughter, how could she not be? This doll actually plays with her. In fact, my favorite phrase that she says is, ”Hi Mommy, you wanna play now?” Cracks me up because that is the same thing my daughter asks me all day long! But she doesn’t just talk. When she eats her green popsicle, her mouth lights up green and she asks, “Is my tongue green?” And her knee lights up red when she gets a boo boo! How does she do it? The secret is in little magnets inside her toys and sensors on her body, but don’t tell my daughter – she thinks it is magic!

Disappointed with Fisher Price Christmas Present
To Whom It May Concern:
I would like to start by saying that I have fond memories from my childhood of Fisher Price toys; therefore, Fisher Price is the first brand I reach for when I buy toys for my daughter. Our house is full of Fisher Price items that we adore – especially Little People.
Unfortunately, as much as I love Fisher Price this letter is intended to explain how disappointed I am with one of my daughter’s Christmas gifts. This was the year of the baby doll; it seems everyone thought this would be the perfect time to get my daughter her first baby doll. We purchased for her the Little Mommy set that includes a stroller, a crib and a highchair. She also ended up with 4 different Little Mommy dolls, and an extra stroller, all of which are adorable. While the dolls, the strollers and the crib are wonderful – the highchair is a piece of junk.
My daughter adores her “babies” and spends a good deal of each day doting on them. She pushes them around the house in the stroller, rocks them in the crib and feeds them. But when it comes to the highchair, every time she tries to play with it, it falls a part. I know the highchair is intended to have multiple positions (a low chair and rocker), but why you thought it would be a good idea to make a chair that just sets together is beyond me.
When my daughter tries to put the doll in the highchair, the tray table falls off. After I replace the tray table, she tries to move the highchair and the chair falls out. I put it all back together again and she wants to take Baby out. As she removes baby, the whole thing falls a part again, and round and round we go. When I give up and leave the chair in pieces, my daughter ends up cramming Baby into the triangular base and trying to put the seat and tray table on top. My daughter is 21 months old, and she has no problem with toys. But she can’t be expected to line up those tiny slots on the tray table or understand which direction the base must sit for the chair to balance correctly.
As much as my daughter likes to “feed” her Babies, the highchair should be a perfect toy. But this highchair is so poorly constructed that I am not exaggerating when I tell you that less jus a couple weeks post Christmas and this toy is probably going into the recycle bin. I don’t even think I will donate this chair to Goodwill, as I wouldn’t wish this headache on someone else.
After all of the trouble I have had, I did a little research into this highchair, and it seems everyone has the same problem – the thing just falls a part. I wish I had read a few reviews on this product before purchasing, but I just trusted the Fisher Price name. I foresee myself having to buy a new highchair for the Babies before my daughter’s birthday – not an additional toy I planned to buy.
Please consider a redesign of this useless toy.
Warmly,
Jennifer Burg
