Buy Two Packs of Energizer Batteries Get a $10 Gas Card ~ Giveaway

Posted by 30 June, 2011 (131) Comment

When you have kids, you go through a LOT of batteries. Sheesh! I swear when they are small, everything takes batteries – musical toys, learning toys, flashlights, dancing toys, talking toys and, of course, cameras to capture all those toys in pixels! We go through lots of batteries, which is why I love long-lasting batteries and batteries with a hot deal.

Since the other thing we moms use a LOT of is gas, Energizer has a deal to help make both last longer. Purchase two packs of specially-marked Energizer® Ultimate Lithium or Energizer®Advanced Lithium batteries and you will get a $10 Prepaid Discover® Gas Rewards* card mailed to you. (This is good for AA and AAA Lithium batteries only, and you can find more details about this promo on Energizer’s Facebook Page.)

Purchase batteries you already need and get a gas card, sweet!

Giveaway - One lucky The Suburban Mom reader will win two packs of specially marked batteries (in their choice of AA or AAA) to use and redeem for the $10 gas card.

Mandatory Entry – Tell me what gets the most battery use in your house.

Got Batteries and a Toddler, You Need an Energizer Smart Charger

Posted by 18 August, 2010 (2) Comment

Batteries, batteries everywhere. From the music table, to the kitchen with real sounds and, of course, the flashlight. These are a few of my daughter’s favorite battery operated toys, and they suck the life out of batteries!

From the day my mom gave my daughter an alligator flashlight, I knew we were going to have a problem. She loves the flashlight, and while she knows how to turn it on and off… she never remembers to turn it off. Within two days of arrival in the house, the batteries were dead. Within a month, the bulb was dead… Even though she was barely talking when she first got the flashlight, she knew to tell daddy, “bat-rays.”

Then I had the brilliant idea to use an Energizer Smart Charger and rechargeable batteries. Ta-da! No more wasteful throwing the batteries away. Now when the batteries die, which is at least once a week, we just recharge them.  It is a little difficult for a two-year-old to be patient while the batteries are charging, but she’s learning that not everything is a quick fix. :) (Maybe.)

Now that I have experienced rechargeable batteries, I want to convert everything to rechargeable. I mean, why not? Saves money and the environment… Too bad we have a HUGE stock of regular batteries we bought at Costco… Oh well, I guess I will just continue to replace things with rechargeables slowly. The flashlight is a perfect start!

Disclosure - By writing this post, I may be eligible to receive Energizer Recharge Smart Charger and a gift card, however, all thoughts and opinions are my own. No other compensation was received.
