I Love Me Some Carrabba’s

Posted by 26 August, 2010 (0) Comment

My husband used to have this “thing” against chain restaurants. I don’t know why, but he was adamant that a chain could never be as good as a local mom and pop joint. And then we found Carrabba’s. While he still loves his mom and pop places, even he will take Carrabba’s over a mom and pop any day. Carrabba’s is just consistently good, every time we go. I’m a creature of habit, and I get the same thing every time we go, and every time it is just as good as the last.

On this particular visit to Carrabba’s we noticed a summer appetizer that sparked our interest, so we broke the mold and tried something new. Of course, I can’t for the life of me remember what it was called, but it was little skewers of cherry tomatoes and mozzarella cheese balls with a pesto dip. (Update – it was the Caprese Skewers – “Five individual skewers of mozzarella and tomatoes topped with fresh basil and served with a homemade pesto dip.”) It was delish. We also decided to go all out and try the Bacino, which are Carrabba’s mini-desserts. I let my daughter pick one for us to share, and she took one look at the options and declared, “Chocolate.” So we had the Chocolate Coconut Mousse,  and I am so glad she has good taste. It was delightful. (Seriously, if you like chocolate & coconut, get one of these!)

Once again, Carrabba’s lived up to expectations. I already can’t wait to go next time.

Disclosure - I was provided a gift card for this review, however, all thoughts and opinions are my own. No other compensation was received.
