1. What’s on the top of your holiday wish list and why?!

I am funny, everything I want is really for my daughter. I want her to have the Disney Princess dolls, so we got her those. Wanted her to have a Jeep, my in laws sprang for one… I really don’t want much for me, but I do LOVE to open presents. My mom is always so awesome at surprising me with good things that I don’t even know I want until I have them. What did I ask for this year? New work out pants, very exciting! And a picnic table for my daughter, seriously. LOL

2. What is your favorite Christmas gift from the past?

I have to say my Bear. After we got married, we really wanted a dog. My mom did too, so we picked them out together. My mom and dad decided to give us Bear (a toy yorkie) for Christmas. She was the best Christmas present ever. Love my Bear.

3. If you had life to do over, what would you be when you grow up?

Who is grown up? I subscribe to the philospohy that you are never too old to do something else. Right now, I LOVE what I am doing. But in a few years, I am sure I will be doing something very different. I have ever changing plans, but right now I am happy where I am.

4. When do you put up your tree?

As early as my husband will let me! Usually, the tree goes up Thanksgiving weekend. And I will leave it up until my husband makes me take it down. I LOVE Christmas!

5. What is your favorite Holiday?

Christmas!!!! Although, I really love Thanksgiving too. And frankly the whole time from Halloween – New Years is pretty much the best. I love this time of year!

Have you been missing 5 Question Friday? I have! I think it has been 3 weeks since I managed to post one – sick, out of town, out of town! But I am back home, and ready for some questions. Play along, it is fun!

1. What Christmas song do you loathe?

Nada – I LOVE Christmas songs. In fact, I was just thinking yesterday that it is time to look up the Christmas stations on XM so the Christmas season can officially begin.

2. Do you and your significant other cuddle at night or sleep on opposite sides of the bed?

Opposite sides for sleep. We have a nice big king-size bed, so we’ll snuggle for a bit but then MOVE over. Hubby’s arms get heavy when he falls asleep!

3. Have you ever had surgery?

Yep. Tonsils when I was 6. Bunion surgery a couple years ago… NOT FUN! Seriously, bunion surgery is SUPER miserable.

4. When do you typically have your holiday shopping done?

I am close to done with the big stuff… But I am not officially done until the presents start unwrapping. I am always finding last minute deals and must-haves to buy, but the bulk will be done very soon.

5. If money were not an issue (and you HAD to pick something), what would your ultimate luxury item be?

Ultimate luxury… I don’t know if this counts as an item, but I would have an decorator come in and pimp my house. I’d love for my house to look like it feel out of the pages of a magazine. While I was at it, I would expand our porch for more room to play. But mostly, I wanna designer house!

1. Who is the better cook, you or your spouse?

Hubby… I don’t know what we would eat without him!

2. How often do you talk to your mom?

About every other day, sometimes more.

3. Are you adventurous in the kitchen or stick to the recipe?

Don’t cook! But if/when I do, I follow the recipe exactly, and it still never comes out right.

4. Is your second toe longer than your big toe?

Yes, on my left foot… But now that I think about it I can’t remember if it was like that prior to m bunion surgery on that foot or not. Weird, I really don’t remember.

5. Do you dress up for Halloween? (Bonus question: What will you be this year?)

YES! (Although I really haven’t the last couple of years.) I am going to be a pirate this year, I am even making my own costume. My daughter will be a pirate princesses, so I am sticking with the theme. Hubby bought a pirate shirt as his nod too.

1. What do you listen to while driving?

If I have a choice, something fun and upbeat. But if my two-year-old is one of her moods, Hannah Montana or Jo Bros! She’s a fan! Or Raffi!

2. What is your least favorite thing about Fall?

Least favorite thing… I really like fall… I guess I would have to say Love Bugs. Here in Florida, Love Bugs are finally going out of season, but they have been SO bad this year. ICK – everywhere!!!

3. What does your dream house look like, inside and out?

Outside, classic Victorian. Inside, perfectly decorated and polished. In my dream house, I am the dream mom too who keeps a spotless house – no piles! Lots of photos on every wall, and the decor changes with every season. Lots of windows for natural lighting and a fresh, comforting color pallet.

4. Would you ever own a minivan?

NOPE! Fingers crossed! Just got a new Honda Pilot though!

5. Do you wash new clothes before wearing them?

Yep. Well, I say yes, but it kind of depends. I wash them 100% of the time for my daughter and about 80% of the time for me. Sometimes I will wear the shirts straight outta the store so I can at least one wear out of them perfectly pressed since that will never happen again.

1. Did you have a pen pal when you were little (or now)? Where were/are they from?

Yep. I had a couple when I was little, but over time they would just stop writing… Always made me sad because I would write and not hear back any more… finally I would give up.

The one exception to that was my best friend from elementary school. When she moved to another school district (on the other side of town) we started writing letters. I am not really sure why we didn’t talk on the phone much, I guess we were young and that wasn’t the thing, be we wrote TONS of letters back and forth. Even in high school, I can remember writing her notes in class and mailing them to her later. We lost touch for a while after high school, but we reconnected again and she is still the amazing and wonderful friend she was in elementary school. But now we write Facebook posts and emails… Maybe I will drop her a real letter… (Hi Audrey! xoxoxo)

2. If you could do a different job for one day, what would it be?

I’d be a Disney Princess. Not like a fairytale here, like the job at the Parks. Once upon a time I almost did this…

3. Do you remember your biggest fear from when you were little?

4. What do you think is a waste of time? Why?

Being sick. When I am healthy I would LOVE to lay around all day and relax, but I don’t have time. When I am sick and forced to lay around – I hate it. Being sick is a waste of time!

5. What is the oldest item you have in your closet?

LOL! My Cabbage Patch Doll. I have earlier stuff in the garage, like baby toys of mine, but I brought her in from the garage and she lives by my sweaters.
