“Mom! I see a Box Top! Can we get it, can we get it?!”
While I have always saved Box Tops for Education for my daughter’s school, without her even realizing it, but when her preschool launched a Box Tops challenge she suddenly became a Box Top fiend. She could spot those Box Tops from across the room, and it didn’t matter what the product was — she wanted it! (Well played BTFE, well played.)
We turned in more than 50 BTFE for her class, but sadly they didn’t win. Much to her despair the little kids (the three-year-old class) won. It was a tough blow for a four year old, I’ve never seen her work so hard to collect something. It was really cute.
By the end of the contest, her school raised more than $700 to put toward purchasing a new bus. That’s $700 in Box Tops that are worth $.10 each! It’s amazing how they add up.
In fact on average schools in the U.S. earn around $900 annually through the program, and some earn more than $20,000 annually by clipping Box Tops, participating in bonus programs and shopping 300 online eBoxTops® retailers at the Box Tops Marketplace®. WOW that’s a lot of Box Tops.
We get a lot of packages at our house, but when this one arrived K went nuts. “Mom, it’s a whole box of Box Tops!”

I love that Box Tops are found on products I buy regularly like Ziploc and Kleenex as well as yummy treats. It makes supporting K’s school as easy as snip-snip. Each little Box Top is like found money for her school, so I am more than happy to keep a Ziploc baggy in the drawer to toss Box Tops in as we use products.
If you aren’t already clipping Box Tops, you should start. I’ve even recruited the grandparents to start collecting because I am sure this won’t be the last school Box Top contest.
