Do you remember video rental stores?
A few weeks ago, my husband and I were reminiscing over the days of old when you had to go to the store to rent a movie. Gasp, remember? You had to drive to the movie rental place, browse through rows and rows of shelves looking for the perfect movie (and hoping it was in stock), pay, drive home and then watch the movie. It was a whole event just to get the movie. In way, I miss it. It was fun. But it was a hassle.
Our kids will never know the hassle (and fun) of the movie rental store. With services like Movies On Demand, we can browse the listing of movies (in a matter of minutes) from the comfort of our couch and rent the movie we select with the click of a button. Gone are the days of the movie rental store being out of the latest flicks! It’s quick and convenient. Plus it comes in HD, not the grainy quality we once accepted of the VHS.

Movies On Demand offers the hottest movies right there for rental from your TV. It doesn’t get any simpler than that and with many titles being available the same day the movie is released on DVD, you can often check out the newest releases before other services have them available.
Among the many titles currently available from Movies On Demand are John Carter (read my review here) and Mirror Mirror (which I LOVED) and comedies like Jeff, Who Lives at Home and This Means War. There are even family titles, so there is something for everyone.
Oh and another reason Movies On Demand blows movie rental places out of the water — being able to watch trailers before you rent right on your TV. That’s one of my favorite perks.
Giveaway - Movies On Demand wants to give one luck reader an awesome movie night with a $25 Visa gift card (to rent your movie and get munchies) a John Carter Notebook and a Jeff, Who Lives at Home prize pack.

Rock of Ages. I was a teenager in the 80′s, so the music in that movie really takes me back to my youth. Sadly, no one else in my family wants to see it, so I guess I’ll be waiting until it comes out on video.
