Yoplait Save Lids to Save Lives ~ Coupon & Giveaway
Unless you have been living under a rock, I am sure you are aware that in addition to Halloween, October is also Breast Cancer Awareness Month. To help fight the disease, many companies “go pink” in October offering pink packaging and products for sale with a portion of the proceedes benefiting the Susan G Komen Foundation. Yoplait is one of those companies.
For 13 years, Yoplait has been encouraging yogurt fans to collect pink Yoplait lids (available in grocery stores in September and October) through its “Save Lids, Save Lives” campaign. Each collected lid (redeemed by December 31, 2011) equals a $.10 donation by Yoplait to Susan G. Komen for the Cure up to $2 million. It is a small thing consumers can do that adds up to a big donation, to date Yoplait has donated more than $30 million to the breast cancer cause through all of its breast cancer initiatives. And you can be part of the donation all for eating some yummy yogurt that is good for you too.
Those who have participated in the program before will be excited to learn that for the first time this year lids can be redeemed online. Sweet, now you don’t even have to spend postage to help the cause. Plus, Yoplait will track pink lids redeemed by zip code to make sure funds generated from your lid collection go back to local breast cancer programs in your community. (So be sure to include your zip code when you redeem online.)
This post, and the lids I will collect are dedicated to my aunt who is fighting a brave battle against this disease. I love you!

I don’t have anyone close to me with it, but I know many people who have had to deal with it in family members/friends of theirs. My favorite yogurt flavor is strawberry.
My husband had colon cancer, so I would dedicate them to his memory.
Every one of my aunt’s currently has or has suffered from breast cancer. I take my checkups and mammograms religiously!

My mother passed away of cancer when I was only 16 and I’ve tried to deal with that for 10 years now. It doesn’t get any easier. Everyone needs to know the importance of getting their regular check ups and exam for breast cancer. There’s also such a high rate of survival so it’s never too late!! I love companies like Yoplait that like to spread the awareness because it’s something that EVERYONE should know!
